Euro Up Against Canadian Dollar [EUR/CAD]
Monday, September 10, 2007-The European currency trended up against its Canadian counterpart in the early Asian trading on Monday. The pair hit as high as 1.4590 by about 9.30pm ET, compared to Friday's close of 1.4528. Thereafter the euro reversed its direction against the loonie, but gained ground shortly. The pair was quoted at 1.4574 as of 2.45am ET. Investors now turn towards the Italian GDP data, which has been slated for release at 4.00am ET.
Swiss Franc Showing Choppy Trend Versus Dollar [USD/CHF]
Monday, September 10, 2007-The Swiss Franc trended higher against the U.S. dollar during the early Asian session on Monday. The Franc fetched the 1-month high of 1.1853 by about 6:40 pm Eastern Time Sunday. The Franc then declined slightly, but it bounced back shortly. However, at about 9:30 pm ET, the Franc edged down again and touched 1.1882 within two hours. Thereafter, the Franc gained slightly and the pair has been currently trading near 1.186. Largely, the pair showed choppy trading.
Euro Higher Versus Sterling [EUR/GBP]
Monday, September 10, 2007-The European currency drifted down against the British pound in the early Asian deals on Monday. The pair hit as low as 0.6782 by about 12:00 am ET, compared to Friday's close of 0.6788. However, thereafter, the euro reversed direction and as of 2:35 am, it was trading near 0.6797 against the sterling. Investors now turn toward the Italian GDP and the British August PPI data, which is expected shortly.
